Kathmandu, october 1 - The Annual General Meeting of the Optimist Club of Dairy Entrepreneurs was held under the chairmanship of Club President Ramesh Sanjel and with the chief guest, Governor of Optimist International Asia District Pratap Bahadur Thapa.

The program was attended by Secretary of Optimist International Asia District Vijay Satyal, L.G. Prahlad Dahal, L.G. Shankar Rajbahak, board members of the club, dairy industrialists and entrepreneurs, and distinguished personalities from various sectors.

At the program, outgoing Club President and L.G. Prahlad Dahal delivered the welcome remarks and provided information about various social and service-oriented activities carried out by the club since its establishment, as well as activities related to capacity building of dairy entrepreneurs. He stated that continued support and cooperation from everyone would be necessary to make the club more active and effective in the coming days.

Club Secretary Saroj Ojha conducted the program and presented the club’s annual activity report and financial report. Following discussions on the presented reports, the General Meeting unanimously approved all the reports of the club.

On the occasion, Secretary of Optimist International Asia District Vijay Satyal shared his views on the objectives and structure of Optimist International and the contributions being made by the organization to society. Likewise, District Governor Pratap Bahadur Thapa shed light on the international structure, objectives, and future direction of Optimist International and extended best wishes to the club for a successful term.

L.G. Shankar Rajbahak expressed his gratitude to the club for inviting him and providing him with an opportunity to share his views. He appreciated the activities undertaken by the club with the objective of connecting entrepreneurs in the dairy sector with social service.

The General Meeting also approved the proposal to form a new board for the upcoming term 2026/27. As per the proposal presented by Club President Ramesh Sanjel, the new board was approved with Madhav Shiwakoti as President, Saroj Ojha as Secretary, and Deep Prasad Dhamala as Treasurer. It was also informed that additional committees and office bearers would be added in the coming days as per the needs of the club and the directives of the district.

Concluding the meeting, Club President Ramesh Sanjel expressed his gratitude to the outgoing president, all club members and office bearers, officials of Optimist International Asia District, and all well-wishers and stakeholders for their support in making his tenure successful.

He expressed his commitment to making the club more organized, active, and effective in the upcoming term and to making significant contributions to the social responsibility, leadership development, and social service activities of dairy entrepreneurs.
